one year hence

So here we have The Axe, The Crown and The Girdle, three of what I think are the most relevant objects throughout the movie. Each one has its place in the story, which I won't spoil because at the time I painted them, the movie was still in theaters, and I’m a cool guy like that. I would assume if you're looking at these prints you already saw the movie, but better to be safe than sorry. I don't want to be cursed by Morgan le Fay level doom spells...

This is a special edition of the "Artifacts" series, that I was not really planning on making. I just loved the movie and its themes, and it's so visually stunning I wanted to keep playing in that sandbox for a bit.

It was hard to get reference for them since at the time I made these the movie was not yet streaming, so I had to rely on the trailers, a couple marketing shots that were available on the internet, and my memory. So I went to watch the movie, I watched those scenes very intensely focused and I almost blew an artery from the pressure. But alas, I can’t really say I had a lot of success trying to remember the finer details, so I had to use a bit of artistic license for some things, lol. All in all, I think they look really nice and go very well with the larger print.
