It’s Alive! It’s alive!

Frankenstein’s Monster is one of the most iconic creatures in all of cinematic history. And also one of the coolest designs ever! I made this piece as a sort of reductionist approach to the creature’s design, to see how few colours I could get away with. And since I seem incapable of doing single images, this was of course the first of a series that included The Bride, Dracula and the Creature of the Black Lagoon. I had plans to also do The Mummy, but that piece never went past the sketch stage. Maybe I should go back and finish it. The only thing that has stopped me from doing that is that I know myself, and I know I’ll end up redoing them all so the style and skill level remain consistent, and I’m not really sure if I’m up to that.
