Artifacts - The Goonies
Closed edition of 50 sets of 3 giclées each.
8x8 inches. Hand signed and numbered.
Set of 3 8x8 inches giclées. Printed on beautiful archival-grade, 100% cotton, museum-quality paper.
When alone, ships flat, sandwiched between two pieces of cardboard and glassine, in a sturdy mailer. When bought together with a bigger print, they’re protected with glassine and then gently rolled alongside the other prints. In any case, the process is smoother than Mouth trying to get something from you. Also, the package is tracked and ensured by the Fratellis, so you know you won’t have any issues there.
There are many awesome things about this movie. Many great moments and a lot of fantastic memories. But through all of them, there’s almost always something physical carrying the story. The bycicles. The map. The doubloon. The key. The freaking Baby Ruth. The statue of David. And of course, the Skeleton Key. One of the coolest props to ever appear on film, to be used for a total of like 10 seconds. But what 10 seconds were those!
These are my interpretations of 3 of the artifacts that appeared in The Goonies. Each one marking a moment, or a character, or a beat that made the story what it is. A classic from more innocent times, and the first time a guy with freaking asthma got to be the leader. Goonies never say die!
PS. THIS SET CONSISTS OF 3 PRINTS. But, as a bonus, because I love you, if you get this set and also buy the alternate movie poster for The Goonies, you’ll be officially a Goonie at heart, so I’ll send you the 8x24 print of the infamous David statue after it had an encounter with Chunk (look at the last images). It’s my way to say thank you, and the only way to get it since I won’t ever sell that print by itself, or as part of a set.
